This was Organised by Gary Manahan to mark the anniveraires of several vehicles he owns plus the 50th year in preservation of the transport museum society of ireand bus R1 .
the anniesaries were as follows :
CVH 5 : 20 years running
Bombardier fleet ( here represented by KD 199 and KE 35) 25 years running
there was also a presnetation to micheal corcoran of the tmsi as he was the person who have a long hard effort presved R1 and founded the transport museum society of ireland . one presntation was from the tmsi a second was from gary manahan on behalf of tranport preservationists .

This running day was to mark the end of the AD andVA class simgle drecker bus time in service with Dublin Bus we started off fomr parnell squaare and went to Drimnah then form infrimary road beside the phoneix park to UCD belfiled on the 10 . at vairous termini the driver of VA 1o set the dmd to different route numbers .

theese buses are parked in strategic loactions and are used to get people to but tickets for the dualway city tour .

thanks to a fireman called fitzer and the badges i wear on my jumper ( 2 of which are dennis fire engines ) i got to have a look inside this appliance . it was parked at the top of grafton street 2nd may 07 where the firefighters were collecting for chairty

a little whjile after KC 48 ran on the sout side of the city mark phipps and mark byrne oprganised a run around the north side of the city . these are the pictures i took .

this is the currrnt livery of the Dublin bus Airlink Airport express bus , also included here are a couple of buses in fleet standard .livery that are used as spare buses on the airlink service .

on sorting through my pictures i came across some picturs i have of the Dublin bus Airlink AV's . the airlink in dublin bus's aoirpot express bus . all thre buses are now either in the yellow and blue fleet standard livery or in the green livery that you can see in the Dublin Bus AV class Current Airlink Livery file .

DT class - Transbus Trident 2 low-floor accessible chassis with ALX400 bodywork by Transbus Alexander (Falkirk). Cummins ISC engine, ZF4HP502 automatic transmission with integral retarder. ABS anti-lock brakes. Front and rear disc brakes. Entered service 2003 .
they look more or less identical to the AV/AX class but differences in the shape of the back window, the height of the drivers Dash board, and the regestration plate (which on the DT's are 03-D 10001-10010) mark the differences between the classes .

sadly now theese seem to run at a time where i am unable to take pictures of threm hence the small amount of pictures in this file .

ABS anti-lock brakes. Front disc brakes and centre/rear axle S-cam brakes. Multiplex electrical wiring. Entered service 2005 - 2006.

at the moment there are only VT 1-20 in general service (hence the repetative nature of the pictures in this file ) more are due on stream soon .

due to the large amount of AV pictures i have on file i decided to split the AV's into buses with 2000-2004 regestration plates and those that were regestered in 2005

i met Patrick on the way up to cultra . he took a few pictures that my camera would not have been able to take . KC 48 was the first bomabrdier through the Dublin Port Tunnel (and probably the last unless any other preservationists are out and about !) also there is a grup shot of those going to cultrs on DF 415 .
